Support Worker – Learning Disabilities (Winsford)

We Support Ltd are currently looking to recruit care support workers for our supported living services in Winsford.

The service users we care for have severe learning disabilities, are on the autism spectrum and require high levels of care and support to meet their individual needs. The services we provide require 24 hr support via a team of support workers, a house senior support worker and sleeping night staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building supportive, trusting relationships with service users.
  • Working pro-actively with other members of the team to meet the service requirements and administrative responsibilities.
  • Supporting key service users to set personalised goals in the form of a Positive Behaviour Support Plan.
  • Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Positive Behaviour Support Plan goals.
  • Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with service users.
  • Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that service users enjoy a high quality of support and accommodation.

Experience required:

No Experience required, a full induction will be undertaken by all new support workers to ensure they are fully trained and capable to perform the work that will be required of them.

An NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent with previous relevant work experience is a bonus but not essential for application.

Salary:

£8-£8.30 p/h
